Saint-Sylvestre ( Occitan : Sint Sauvestre ) is a French village with 924 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Haute-Vienne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Limoges and the canton of Ambazac . The inhabitants are called Bonnacois (es) .

geography

Saint-Sylvestre lies on the edge of the Monts d'Ambazac massif . Saint-Sylvestre is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Razès in the northwest, Saint-Léger-la-Montagne in the northeast, Ambazac in the east and south, Bonnac-la-Côte in the southwest and Compreignac in the west.

The A20 autoroute runs through the municipality .
