Étienne Barilier

Étienne Barilier (born October 11, 1947 in Payerne ) is a French-speaking Swiss writer and translator .

Life

Étienne Barilier studied literature at the University of Lausanne and did her doctorate on Albert Camus . In addition to his numerous novels and essays of his own, he has translated works by German-speaking authors such as Friedrich Dürrenmatt , Heinrich Heine , Ludwig Hohl , Adolf Muschg and Frank Wedekind , and more rarely by Italian-speaking authors into French. Mention should be made here of Tommaso Landolfi .

Barilier is a member of the Swiss authors ' association and lives in Pully on Lake Geneva . His archive is located in the Swiss Literature Archive in Bern .
