Klara Obermüller

Klara Obermüller , officially Klara Studhalter-Obermüller (born April 11, 1940 in St. Gallen ), is a Swiss journalist , writer and television presenter .

Life

Klara Obermüller studied German , Romance studies and history in Zurich , Hamburg and Paris and received her doctorate for Dr. phil. Her dissertation was about melancholy in German baroque poetry . She was married to the Swiss writer Walter Matthias Diggelmann . In the 1970s she was the first president of the Society Switzerland - GDR.

Obermüller has worked in the features sections of the NZZ , Weltwoche and FAZ as well as for the art and culture magazine du . In 1989 she was a member of the Literary Quartet , where she replaced Jürgen Busche . Until her retirement in 2002, she worked as a presenter for Swiss television on the Sternstunde Philosophie program . Today she works as a freelance journalist , presenter and speaker. She is married and lives in Männedorf .

Guttenberg plagiarism affair

In his dissertation, the German Federal Minister Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg plagiarized parts of an editorial by Klara Obermüller published in 2003 in the NZZ am Sonntag without citing the source. In March 2011 Guttenberg apologized in writing to Klara Obermüller. In April 2011 Obermüller criticized Guttenberg's attempts to prevent the university commission from publishing the results of its research.
