Ómar Ingi Magnússon (born March 12, 1997 in Selfoss ) is an Icelandic handball player who belongs to the squad of the Icelandic national team.

Career

Ómar Ingi Magnússon initially played for the Icelandic club UMF Selfoss . In the summer of 2014, the left-hander moved to Valur Reykjavík . With Valur he won the Icelandic Cup in 2016. In summer 2016, the backcourt player joined the Danish first division club Aarhus Håndbold . From the 2018/19 season he was under contract with league rivals Aalborg Håndbold . With Aalborg he won the Danish Cup competition in 2018 and the Danish championship in 2019 and 2020. For the 2020/21 season he moved to the German Bundesliga club SC Magdeburg .

Ómar Ingi Magnússon won the bronze medal at the U-19 World Cup in 2015 . He also finished third in the tournament's top scorer list. He is now a member of the Icelandic national team. With his country he took part in the 2017 World Cup in France.
