Austria rocks the Song Contest was the title of the Austrian preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 in Malmö ( Sweden ). The show was broadcast live on ORF one on February 15, 2013 . In a joint vote by televoting and jury, Natália Kelly with the song Shine was identified as the Austrian participant of the ESC. Mirjam Weichselbraun and Andi Knoll conducted the show .
procedure
Five candidates were selected in advance by ORF and music producer Thomas Rabitsch . These competed against each other in the live show on February 15, 2013. First each participant interpreted a winning title from the history of the Eurovision Song Contest, then their own title. The evaluation was carried out in equal parts by an international expert jury and televoting . In the decision show, Natália Kelly was announced as the winner with the title Shine . Kelly represented Austria in the semi-finals of the Eurovision Song Contest on May 14, 2013 in Malmö, but could not reach the final.
