The Ötztaler Urkund is usually exceeded when visiting the Wildspitze over the south ridge. The starting point of the tour is the Breslauer Hütte , northwest above Vent . From the hut, the path first leads north over the Urkundkolm to the Ötztaler Urkund (with exposed climbing at a point in, according to literature, difficulty level UIAA III ). From here it goes a little down into the Urkundsattel and on to the southern summit of the Wildspitze. According to the literature, the walking time is around 4½ hours. As a high-altitude tour with appropriate equipment and experience, the Ötztaler Urkund can be climbed more easily over the Rofenkarferner, which is rich in crevasses, and the north ridge (UIAA grade I).
