(10038) Tanaro is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 28 April 1984 of the Italian astronomer Vincenzo Zappalà on La Silla Observatory of European Südsternwartes ( IAU code 809) in Chile was discovered.
The asteroid was named after the Tanaro , the longest river in Piedmont , which flows into the Po on the right after 276 km below Bassignana .
