(2139) Makharadze ( 1970 MC ; 1928 TF ; 1955 SS 1 ; 1955 UA 1 ; 1970 PJ ; 1974 QN ; 1977 ER 1 ; A924 RB ) is an asteroid of the main inner belt belonging to the Hertha family and on June 30th Was discovered in 1970 by Tamara Mikhailovna Smirnova at the Crimean Observatory .
designation
The asteroid was named after the friendship between Georgians and Ukrainians . Makharadze is the old name of the Georgian city of Osurgeti . It is the twin town of the Ukrainian city Henichesk , after which the asteroid (2093) Genichesk was named.
