(2507) Bobone ( 1976 WB 1 ; 1932 CF 1 ; 1974 FD 1 ; 1980 PD ) is an approximately 16 km large asteroid of the central main belt that was found on November 18, 1976 at the Felix Aguilar Observatory in the El Leoncito National Park in the province San Juan in Argentina ( IAU code 808).

designation

(2507) Bobone was named after the astronomer Jorge Bobone (1909-1958) who was director of the Observatorio Astronómico de Córdoba (IAU code 822) and was known for his work on the orbits of comets , asteroids and Jupiter's moons .
