(367436) Siena is a major outer belt asteroid located between Mars and Jupiter .
It was discovered on September 27, 2008 by the German amateur astronomers Stefan Karge and Erwin Schwab from the Hans-Ludwig-Neumann-Observatory ( IAU-Code B01) on the Kleiner Feldberg im Taunus .
The asteroid was on 18 August 2016, following the city of Siena in the Italian Tuscany named. The historic old town has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1995 .
