(6914) Becquerel is an asteroid of the main belt , which from on 3 April 1992 American US astronomer Carolyn Shoemaker , David H. Levy and Henry E. Holt at Palomar Observatory ( IAU code 675) in California was discovered.

The asteroid was named after the French physicist Henri Becquerel (1852-1908), who, together with Marie and Pierre Curie, was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1903 for their discovery of radioactivity .
