14th Flak Brigade
The 14th Flak Brigade was a brigade-strength combat unit of the Luftwaffe in World War II . The brigade staff was set up in June 1942.
Mission history
Initially set up under the name of Flak Brigade XIV in Norway with a command post in Oslo and renamed the 14th Flak Brigade in 1943 , the brigade staff was responsible for the operational management of all flak units stationed in Norway. As of November 1, 1943, it was under her control
- Flak Regiment 83 in Lofoten
- Flak Regiment 92 in Stavanger
- Flak Regiment 152 in Trondheim and the
- Flak Regiment 162 in Oslo
The total firepower of the anti-aircraft brigade was 95 batteries , including 2 heavy and 11 mixed anti-aircraft detachments. In addition, she was responsible for a further 32 alarm flak batteries. As a result of the relative calm of the Norwegian formations, no major skirmishes became known. On February 27, 1945, the brigade staff was then converted into the division staff of the 29th Flak Division .
