Channel Islands Flak Brigade

The Channel Islands Flak Brigade was a brigade-strength combat unit of the Luftwaffe during World War II . The establishment of the brigade staff took place on October 25, 1941 in the area of ​​activity of the field air district command of western France. The sole commanding officer was Colonel Adolf Gerlach . The brigade was tactically subordinate to the 9th Flak Division with a command post on the Channel Island of Guernsey . She was responsible for the operational management of the flak forces on the three occupied Channel Islands of Guernsey, Jersey and Alderney .

On January 19, 1942, the Flak Brigade was given a new name and was henceforth managed under the 8th Flak Brigade .
