Higher in command of the anti-aircraft artillery in Luftkreis IV
The higher commander of the anti-aircraft cartillery in Luftkreis IV was a service in brigade strength of the Luftwaffe in the 1930s. The brigade staff was set up on October 1, 1935 with a command post in Münster . The sole commanding officer was the colonel and later major general Johannes Lentzsch . As a higher commander and troop superior, he was responsible for the operational management of the flak forces in the greater Westphalia - Ruhr area - Rhineland - Rhine-Main area - Manheim area . The following were subordinated to him on 1 October 1935 Flak - regiments :
- Flak Regiment 4 in the Dortmund area
- Flak Regiment 7 in the Wolfenbüttel area
- Flak Regiment 9 in the Münster area
By October 1, 1937, the number of subordinate flak units rose sharply, so that the following units were subordinate to this point in time:

On June 30, 1938, the agency was closed due to structural changes. The subordinate anti-aircraft regiments were assigned to other brigade staffs.
