11th Flak Brigade
The 11th Flak Brigade was a brigade-strength combat unit of the Luftwaffe in World War II . The brigade staff was set up on September 27, 1941.
Mission history
Initially set up under the name Flak Brigade XII for use in the Feld-Luftgaukommando Belgium - Northern France , the brigade staff took over the operational management of all German flak forces in the area Bruges - Ostend - Dunkirk - Calais - Boulogne - Béthune - Lille - Gent . The command post was initially in Lumbres , later in Saint-Omer . When the brigade staff took over the command of the anti-aircraft regiments in the Gironde estuary area down to the Spanish border, its command post was in Saintes . There it was under his control
On September 2, 1943, the brigade staff was renamed the Staff General of the Air Force Channel Islands . In June 1944, however, a new brigade staff was established, which was assigned to the 13th Flak Division . The brigade staff took over the operational management of all German flak forces in Luftgau I with concentration in East Prussia . Here that was under his control

The Flak Regiment 110 was responsible for the air security of the Fuehrer's headquarters in Wolfsschanze . In mid-September 1944, the Flak Brigade 11 brigade staff was finally disbanded and reunited with the 27th Flak Division .
