2nd Bundesliga baseball
The 2nd baseball Bundesliga is the second highest division in German baseball . It is divided into the 2nd Bundesliga North and South, which have been divided into three regional groups of a maximum of eight teams each since 2017. Until 2016 there was no group classification; instead there were four regional leagues in addition to the two 2nd national leagues .
mode
In the main round, groups with seven or more teams play a double header with one game over nine and one over seven innings in a round-trip round. Groups with five or six teams play an additional "first round". If there are 4 or fewer teams, two rounds are played back and forth.
The best team in each group qualified for promotion qualifies for the play-offs for promotion to the respective division of the Bundesliga baseball . The winner of the play-offs is promoted directly, the runner-up must be relegated to the seventh place from the respective Bundesliga. The seventh and eighth places in each group in the north and south are relegated.
