7/27 is the second studio album by the US girl group Fifth Harmony . It was released on May 27, 2016 under the label Epic Records and contains the singles Work from Home and All In My Head (Flex) .

Fifth Harmony announced the album's title, cover art and release date on February 25, 2016 on Instagram . The album was initially due to be released on May 20, 2016, but the release on April 22, 2016 was postponed by one week to May 27, 2016.

The title of the album, 7/27, refers to July 27, 2012, the day the group Fifth Harmony was formed on The X Factor .

Musical style

In February 2016, the band announced that 7/27 also showed the vulnerable side of the five women and that the musical style of the album was more in the direction of soul and contemporary R&B .

Single releases

The album's first single, Work from Home , was released along with the accompanying music video on February 26, 2016. Ty Dolla $ ign can also be heard as a guest musician in the song. The single peaked at # 1 in Croatia , the Netherlands and New Zealand , while it was # 2 in the UK and # 7 in Germany . The song also received gold and platinum awards, including gold in Germany.

The album's second single, All In My Head (Flex), was released with Fetty Wap on May 31, 2016. The song was ranked 8th in New Zealand, its highest position. The music video for the single was released on June 23, 2016.

Promosingles The Life was published
as promosingles on March 24, 2016 and Write On Me on May 5, 2016. A music video for the latter was uploaded to Vevo on May 6, 2016 .
