Dinah Jane Hansen
Dinah Jane Milika Ilaisaane Hansen [ ˈdaɪnə ] (born June 22, 1997 in Santa Ana , California , United States ) is an American singer . She is a member of the Fifth Harmony music group .
Life
Hansen was born in 1997 in Santa Ana and grew up there. She has Tongan , Samoan, and Fijian ancestors. Her great-grandfather Hans Jorgen Hansen came from Denmark . Hansen's parents Milika Hansen and Gordon Hansen raised her and their five younger siblings in Santa Ana. Dinah lived with her extended family, consisting of 23 people, in a four-room apartment. Her mother sang in a reggae band and her brother in church. She started singing when she was four and often went to church. Her first public appearance at the age of seven was in Sacramento, where she sang the national anthem. After this performance, she sang at many events in California. She released her first song Dancing Like A White Girl in 2011 when she was fourteen. A year later she took part in the talent show The X Factor , where she made it to the second round. The show brought her and four other girls back, and they formed a group called Fifth Harmony . This group made it to the finals and they finished in third place. In October 2013, Fifth Harmonys EP Better Together was released . Together they published the songs Work from Home , Worth It and Reflection, among others . Together with Ty Dolla $ ign and Marc E. Bassy they created Bottle Up , their first song after Fifth Harmony. The song was released back in September 2018. She sang this song on Jimmy Fallon's Tonight Show .
On April 19, 2019, the single Heard It All Before was released , which is part of their EP Dinah Jane 1 , released on the same day . In May, Hansen released the single Retrograde . In Germany this title was published on May 8, 2019.
