The Aéroport International Martinique Aime Cesaire ( IATA code FDF , ICAO code TFFF ) is the international airport of the French Caribbean island of Martinique . It is located in Le Lamentin in the metropolitan area of the capital Fort-de-France . The airport opened in 1950 and renamed in 2007 in honor of the writer and politician Aimé Césaire .
