The AD Camacha is a sports club from the Portuguese community Camacha to Madeira .
history
The association was created on August 1, 1978 from the merger of all associations of the Freguesia. Until 1986 the club did not have its own area, played in Santa Cruz or on Campo 1º de Maio in Funchal . Then the construction of a separate area began, which today includes two grass pitches and one artificial turf pitch. The Complexo Desportivo da Camacha has 3000 seats.
In the early 1990s, the club's football team rose to the national leagues after winning the 1ª Divisão of AF Madeira. From 2009 she played in the II. Divisão and currently in the Campeonato Nacional de Seniores (3rd Portuguese league) (as of 2014).
In addition to football, the club has departments for handball, billiards and automobile sports and is the host of the Rally da Camacha.
