The 1930–31 season was the American Hockey Association's (AHA) fifth regular season . The champions became the Tulsa Oilers .

The following changes were made before the start of the season:

In the regular season, the seven teams played between 46 and 48 games. The top three teams qualified for the playoffs, with the first place in the regular season qualified directly for the final. The playoff semifinals were played in best-of-three mode, the final in best-of-five mode. Each team received two points for a win, one point for a tie and zero points for a defeat.
