Aaron Berzel (born May 29, 1992 in Heidelberg ) is a German soccer player .
Career
In his youth Berzel played for Viktoria Mauer , TSG 1899 Hoffenheim and for VfL Wolfsburg . With Wolfsburg, he was German champion with the A-youth in 2011 . He then moved to Holstein Kiel . For Kiel, he played 21 regional league games. He also played for the second team in the major league. In the summer of 2012 he went to the 3rd division for SV Babelsberg 03 . There he immediately became a regular player. In January 2013 he suffered a rupture of the syndesmosis ligament and was out for several weeks. At the end of the season Babelsberg was relegated to the Regionalliga. In September 2013 Berzel moved to SV Darmstadt 98 on a free transfer , with whom he was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga at the end of the 2013/14 season.
In January 2015, he moved to the third division Prussia Münster on a free transfer . On August 25, 2015, the club terminated their employment without notice after having played only five games. For the 2015/16 season he was signed by regional league club SV Elversberg , for whom the defender played 35 regional league games.
For the 2017/18 season , Berzel moved to TSV 1860 Munich, who had been relegated to the Regionalliga Bayern . With the lions he rose as a regular player in the 3rd division . In the 2018/19 season , Berzel was no longer part of the regular staff and made 14 third division appearances (8 times in the starting XI). His contract, which expired at the end of the season, was initially not extended for financial reasons. Donations from “external donors” enabled the club to sign Berzel again for a year as part of the preparations for the 2019/20 season at the beginning of July .
