The Accademia Albertina di Belle Arti di Torino is a public art school in Turin , Italy .
history
In the first half of the 17th century there was a "University of Painters, Sculptors and Architects" in Turin, from which in 1652 the Compagnia di San Luca emerged. It served Maria Johanna von Savoyen in 1678 as the basis for the establishment of the "Academy of Painters, Sculptors and Architects", whereby the Duchess was inspired by the Académie royale de peinture et de sculpture in Paris . After various reforms under Viktor Amadeus III. and Napoleon Bonaparte , King Karl Albert reestablished the academy as Regia Accademia Albertina and had a new building built for it at the Church of San Francesco da Paola , which also houses the academy's art gallery and library .
Course offer
The courses are based on the Bologna Process : they are divided into a first, three-year cycle and a subsequent two-year cycle. The respective diploma degrees are equivalent to the Bachelor and Master . The courses offered include: painting , sculpture , decorative art , graphics , scenography , art technology, product design , art marketing and art education .
