history

The Princess 2019 in the Kiel Canal

The Princess was delivered in 1989 with the name Stad Zierikzee to the Rederij Den Breejen in Zierikzee . It was initially used on trips from Zierikzee on the Oosterschelde .

The ship was sold to Sven Paulsen (Adler ships) in 1995 and renamed the Adler Princess . Initially, the Adler Princess was used on butter journeys between Kamminke ( Usedom ) and Nowe Warpno ( Poland ), which took place until Poland joined the EU on May 1, 2004. The ship was then laid up in Altwarp . Since 2006 it has been used for day trips on the Kiel Canal of the Elbe and Eider , among other things . The Adler Princess often also accompanies large events such as the Hanse Sail .

In December 2016, the Adler Princess in Hamburg was damaged by fire. Then she was repaired and rebuilt at the Jöhnk shipyard in Hamburg-Harburg until April 2017 , with the ship being given a modern interior, a new color scheme and the abbreviated name Princess . Since then, the Princess has also been used on the Weser and Hunte rivers between Bremerhaven , Bremen and Oldenburg .
