The Adler Vineta is a passenger ship of the Adler ships . She used to drive under the names Fritz Reuter and Adolph Schönfelder . As Adler Vineta , the ship was last in service since May 1999 as the butter ship of the Adler ships. The ship operated between Bansin , Heringsdorf , Ahlbeck and Swinemünde (Świnoujście) until the end of 2007 , after which it was laid up in Peenemünde . Since 2010 it has been in use again between the Usedom seaside resorts and Misdroy (Międzyzdroje) and Swinoujscie.

history

On March 30, 1981, the passenger ship , built by HDW Hamburg , was delivered to what was then HADAG Seetouristik und Fährdienst AG in Hamburg . Between April 1981 and May 1985, the then Adolph Schönfelder was used for excursions on the Elbe .

The ship was then chartered out to the newly established Ostholstein bathing line together with its sister ship, which was a few months older (see below). There the ships were used between Burgstaaken and Lübeck-Travemünde . For stopovers, new piers were built in various seaside resorts on the East Holstein coast, for example in Grömitz . But only four months later the service was stopped again and the two ships returned to HADAG Seetouristik und Fährdienst AG.

In July 1990, the ship was chartered to the Weiße Flotte Ostsee GmbH, but initially remained named unchanged after the SPD politician Adolph Schönfelder , and a year later it was sold to the Weiße Flotte Ostsee GmbH, which then took it in the name of the writer Fritz Reuter baptized. The new home port was Flensburg. In 1991 and 1992 the Fritz Reuter was used for excursions from Stralsund and Hiddensee .

From 1992 her new home port was Stralsund. From 1995 the ship was registered for the shipping company Hiddensee GmbH. In May 1999 it was sold to the Adler shipping company and renamed Adler Vineta . From May 1, 1999 to 2007, the Adler Vineta was used for day trips between Heringsdorf and Swinoujscie . At the beginning of 2008 the passenger ship was launched in Peenemünde on Usedom .

In May 2010 the Adler-Vineta was moved to Arnis to the Otto-Eberhardt shipyard. There it was overtaken, some shops had to leave their space for more seats and the boat deck was rebuilt. Since the beginning of June 2010, the Adler-Vineta has been operating again between the imperial baths on Usedom and Poland.

Sister ship

The sister ship Max Brauer

There was also a sister ship built in 1980 at the same shipyard for HADAG. The Max Brauer - also named after a Hamburg SPD politician - stayed in Hamburg for HADAG until December 31, 2010. In the end, however, she only served the EADS works traffic and was available for "adventure trips", since the modern one-man ferries for liner services in the port of Hamburg are more economical. After the Max Brauer was launched for 3 years (initially on the HADAG pontoon, since the end of May 2013 at the SSB Spezialschiffbau Oortkaten shipyard ), it was sold in January 2014 to the Böttcher shipping company, which operates in the Baltic Sea area. However, she was not used again, but only changed her berth until she finally started her last trip to a Papenburg scrapping yard on April 3, 2015.
