Adolf Fuchs (Senior Administrator)

Adolf Fuchs (born April 8, 1833 in Karlsruhe ; † October 17, 1908 there ) was a German administrative officer and judge.

Life

Born the son of a ministerial councilor, Adolf Fuchs attended the Lyceum in Karlsruhe until 1851. He then studied at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg , the Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Berlin and the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg . In 1852 he became a member of the Corps Suevia Heidelberg . In 1855 he passed the 1st and in 1859 the 2nd state examination in law. In 1860 he was an assistant at the Eberbach district office. As a result, he completed a secretarial internship with the government of the Middle Rhine District in Karlsruhe from 1862 and worked as an assistant in Rastatt. In 1864 he became a bailiff at the Rastatt district office . In 1867 he became the official board of the district office Meßkirch appointed and in 1869 bailiff transported. In 1871 he moved to the district office in Villingen, in 1872 to the district office of Müllheim and in 1877 to the district office of Tauberbischofsheim . In the same year he was appointed as an administrative judge at the Baden Administrative Court. In 1883 he was appointed a secret finance councilor and member of the collegiate body, in 1891 a secret upper finance councilor and in 1902 a secret councilor, 2nd class of the accounting chamber, of which he belonged until his death in 1908.

Fuchs had been on the advisory board of the Badischer Frauenverein since 1879 and headed the poor relief department for eight years . From 1883 to 1908 he headed the committee of the central management of the Baden district associations for the protection of minors and prisoner welfare. For a period of 15 years he was chairman of the Association of German Protection Associations. The crime prevention was considered to be both social and scientific commitment.
