Alicia Jayne Coutts (born September 14, 1987 in Brisbane ) is an Australian swimming athlete who is successful in dolphin , freestyle and medley swimming . At the 2012 Olympic Games in London , she won five medals, including the gold medal in the 4 × 100 meter freestyle relay.

She won the gold medal in the 4 × 100 m freestyle race as a starting swimmer together with her colleagues Cate Campbell , Brittany Elmslie and Melanie Schlanger in the Olympic record time of 3: 33.15 min. The Netherlands (with Inge Dekker , Marleen Veldhuis , Femke Heemskerk and Ranomi Kromowidjojo - 3: 33.79) and the United States (with Missy Franklin , Jessica Hardy , Lia Neal and Allison Schmitt - 3:34, 24).

In the 4 × 200 m freestyle race together with Bronte Barratt , Melanie Schlanger and Kylie Palmer jumped silver in 7: 44.41 behind the USA (7: 42.92) and ahead of France (7: 47.49).

In the 4 × 100 m individual medley, the Australians with Coutts again received silver in 3: 54.02 behind the women of the USA (3: 52.05) and ahead of Japan (3: 54.02) on the butterfly course.

Coutts won the silver medal in the 200 m medley in 2: 08.15 behind the Chinese Ye Shiwen (2: 07.57) and ahead of the American Caitlin Leverenz (2: 08.95).

There was bronze in the 100 m dolphin in 56.94 s behind the American Dana Vollmer (55.98, WR) and the Chinese Lu Ying (56.87).

The FINA World Championships 2013 in Barcelona and 2011 in Shanghai garnered Coutts seven silver medals and a bronze one. At the Commonwealth Games in 2010 and 2014 there were a total of eight gold and one silver. In addition, Coutts received six medals at the Pan Pacific Swimming Championships .

Coutts is the holder of the Order of Australia (OAM).
