Klaus Tellenbach

Klaus Tellenbach (born April 16, 1902 in Groß-Lichterfelde ; † May 6, 1985 in Karlsruhe ) was a German politician and judge .

Life

Political career

Klaus Tellenbach studied law and passed the first state examination in 1924 and the second state examination in 1927 . On June 1, 1927, he joined the Baden interior administration. Tellenbach was a member of the German Democratic Party (DDP) from 1929 to 1930 . From October 4, 1934 to the end of September 1936, he was the district administrator of the Pfullendorf district office , after its dissolution in 1937, the year he joined the National Socialist German Workers' Party | (NSDAP), until 1938 district administrator of the Tauberbischofsheim district office , then from 1939 to 1945 district administrator of the Tauberbischofsheim district . On April 2, 1945 he was suspended, released on June 15, 1945 on the instructions of the US military government, and interned on April 3, 1946 .

After internment Tellenbach began on November 24 1947 in the Karlsruhe branch office of the Administrative Court of the country Wuerttemberg-Baden a legal career as a legal aid worker who him in 1956 as a judge in the Federal Administrative Court in Berlin and in 1957 the Office of the Vice President of the Court of Baden-Wuerttemberg in Karlsruhe led. In 1963 he became its president . On April 30, 1967, he retired.

Klaus Tellenbach was a Protestant denomination and the son of a professional officer who fell in 1914; the historian Gerd Tellenbach was his younger brother. He was married to Merete Tellenbach.

Awards

In 1967 Tellenbach received the Great Federal Cross of Merit with a Star .
