In 1939, 30 residents lived here in 9 houses. There were restaurants called “Zur Stadt Dresden” and “Zechbergbaude”, also called “Fichtelschänke”, and both belonged to Scheithauer's restaurants. A “Berghof Waldesruh” hotel was also available. At that time, this village belonged as a district to Straßenwald.
The houses that still exist today are mainly used as weekend houses. Until 2013, Adolfov belonged to the Petrovice municipality .
