Adriana Asti (actually Adelaide Asti ; born April 30, 1933 in Milan ) is an Italian actress .

Life

Asti began her acting career at the municipal theater in Bolzano. Soon she moved to the "Piccolo Teatro" in Milan. She was on stage with numerous well-known colleagues such as Lilla Brignone , Gianni Santuccio , Gino Cervi and Lea Padovani ; also in her time following dia Milanese at the “Teatro Stabile” in Turin. After working for the radio and as a voice actress, there were also more offers for the film; she shot her first in 1956; 70 roles have followed to date, including many for outstanding directors such as Luchino Visconti , Franco Brusati and Bernardo Bertolucci . In 1974 she won a special David di Donatello and three silver ribbons for her interpretations . Until the end of the 1970s, however, she could also be seen in some purely commercial works.

After that, the complex actress, equally effective in grotesques and dramas, withdrew almost completely to the stage; only very occasionally did she accept film roles or television offers.

Asti's first marriage to Bernardo Bertolucci ; In 1980 she married the director Giorgio Ferrara .
