The flight operations Aero-Beta GmbH u. Co KG , also Aero-Beta Flight Training or Aero-Beta , is a German airline and commercial aviation school based at Stuttgart Airport . It operates external locations in Erfurt - Sömmerda and Nuremberg - Herzogenaurach and has existed for more than 40 years.

Flight school

Aero-Beta Flight Training is a large, private commercial aviation school that has been training for over 50 years. It is a member of the Association of German Aviation Schools (VDV). Numerous training courses are offered, from the PPL to the CPL to the commercial pilot license .

In Erfurt-Sömmerda there is an airfield with accommodation. This has the ICAO code EDBS and is located near the town of Dermsdorf .

Incidents

  • On July 18, 2003, the Cessna 172 N D-ELBW crashed in Speyer . The student pilot and his instructor perished.
  • On April 15, 2018, another fatal incident occurred at Schwäbisch Hall-Hessental airfield . A chartered Cirrus SR22 from Aero-Beta Flight Training with the identification D-EWTG collided with an ultralight aircraft on approach. The occupants of both aircraft were killed.
