Ahmed Khalil Abdul-Jabbar (born December 21, 1921 in Mecca ; † 1976 ) was a Saudi diplomat .

Career

From 1943 to 1946 he was Secretary of the Department of Politics in the Royal Cabinet in Riyadh . From 1946 to 1952 and from 1952 to 1955 he was first class delegation secretary in Washington, DC and next to the UN headquarters , which in those years migrated from Westminster Central Hall to Lake Success and Flushing Meadows Park . From 1955 to 1960 he was Deputy Chief of the Prime Minister's General Staff for Political Affairs with the rank of Deputy Minister of State. From 1960 to 1963 he was ambassador to Tokyo , Japan and, based in Tokyo, was also accredited as an ambassador to the government in Taipei . From 1964 to May 13, 1965 he was ambassador in Bonn (Federal Republic of Germany ). On May 12, 1965, the governments in Bonn and Tel Aviv officially established diplomatic relations, which led to his recall from Bonn. From 1966 to 1970 he was ambassador to Rome next to the government of Italy . From 1971 to 1972 he was President of the Islamic Center in Rome, host of the mosque in Rome.
