Ailili is an East Timorese Suco in the Manatuto Administrative Office ( Manatuto Municipality ).

Before the 2015 territorial reform, Ailili had an area of ​​27.99 km². Now there are 26.37 km². The Suco is located in the northwest of the administrative office of Manatuto. To the west is the Suco Iliheu , north of the Suco Sau , east of the Suco Aiteas and south of the Suco Cribas . In addition, Ailili borders in the southwest on the administrative office Laclo with its Suco Lacumesac and on the administrative office Laclubar with its Suco Sananain . The border with Cribas is formed by the river Lago Birac , which flows into the Sumasse , the border river with Laclubar, Laclo and Iliheu. The Sumasse flows in a broad front between two arms into the Northern Laclo , which separates Ailili from Sau.

The eastern border largely follows the country road from the city of Manatuto in the north to Laclubar in the south. In the north of Ailili, near the Northern Laclo, are the Sucos settlements: Nai and Nunuli . Several places extend into Ailili on the highway in the east. Half of Belbato is in Ailili, the other half in Aiteas.

The two Aldeias Belebato and Iun are located in the Suco .

Residents

The Suco has 1,553 inhabitants (2015), 814 of whom are men and 739 women. The population density is 58.9 inhabitants / km². There are 264 households in the Suco. Over 86% of the population state that Galoli is their mother tongue. Over 10% speak Tetum Prasa , minorities Habun , Idaté and Tetum Terik .

politics

In the elections of 2004/2005 was Francisco Soares Mau Sico elected Chefe de Suco. In the 2009 elections , Sebastião Manuel de Carvalho won .
