Aischgründer Bierstrasse

The Aischgründer Bierstraße is a tourist street in the Central Franconian district of Neustadt an der Aisch-Bad Windsheim , which deals with the topics of beer and brewing beer .

The Aischgründer Bierstraße runs between the villages of Bad Windsheim in the west and Uehlfeld in the east along the river Aisch , after which it is named. There are a total of eight small and medium-sized craft breweries (the oldest of which has existed since 1639 ), numerous inns and cultural sights such as museums and churches on the route. A beer cycle path, brewery tours, information material on beer and the art of brewing as well as the “Aischgründer Bierfest” are some of the other tourist offers on the Aischgründer Bierstraße. The beer festival currently takes place once a year, rotating in Neustadt an der Aisch, Bad Windsheim, Uffenheim and Scheinfeld. In the context of beer seminars, the title “Dr. Bierologis causa ”. The "Arbeitsgemeinschaft Aischgründer Bierstraße", which coordinates the thematic cooperation of the breweries and organizes the tourist offers, is based in Scheinfeld .

Plans to extend the Aischgründer Bierstraße to Höchstadt an der Aisch and thus to the district of Erlangen-Höchstadt, which is also rich in breweries , have not yet been realized. In September 2007 the Aischgründer Bierstrasse received the “ Golden Beer Idea ” award , which is presented annually by the Bavarian Brewers ' Association and the Bavarian Hotel and Restaurant Association.
