Upper Franconian Beer Street
The Oberfränkische Bierstrasse has so far run from the town of Hof through the districts of Bayreuth , Kulmbach , Kronach , Coburg , Lichtenfels , Bamberg and Forchheim , where it finally borders almost on the Aischgründer Bierstrasse .

From Bayreuth to Poxdorf in the Forchheim district, the difference in altitude is 62 meters. Furthermore, the road from Kulmbach to Bamberg, and thus most of the route, runs in the immediate vicinity of the Main . In the districts of Bamberg and Forchheim up to its end in Poxdorf, the route is mostly in Franconian Switzerland .
