Alan Kazbekowitsch Gogajew ( Russian Алан Казбекович Гогаев ; born March 8, 1990 in Digora , North Ossetia-Alania ) is a Russian wrestler . In 2010 he was runner- up in the free style lightweight world champion.

Career

Alan Gogajew is a young Russian wrestler of Ossetian origin who is still at the beginning of his career. He belongs to the Trade Union Sport Club Vladikavkas and prefers the free style. He came to wrestling as a teenager in 2000.

In 2010 he was the Russian lightweight champion in front of Azamat Bulatow and the experienced Irbek Walentinowitsch Farnijew . He then took part in the Junior World Championships in Budapest , where he won the world championship title with five wins in a superior style. In the final he defeated the Japanese Kotaro Tanaka . In the same year it was used in the lightweight world championships in Moscow . He defeated there u. a. in the semifinals the Cuban Geandry Garzón Caballero , but lost in the final to the Indian Sushil Kumar with 0: 2 rounds and 1: 3 techn. Points. He became vice world champion.

After two less good results in World Cup tournaments, Alan Gogayev won the important Golden Grand Prix in Krasnoyarsk in January . He was then used at the European Championships in Belgrade in 2012 , where he won the European lightweight title for the first time with five wins. In the final he defeated the Bulgarian Leonid Basan . It was then also used at the 2012 Olympic Games in London . But there he lost his first fight against Selimchan Jusupow from Tajikistan , with which he was eliminated and only finished 16th.
