Albert Lang (organ builder)
Albert Lang (born June 16, 1825 in Berlin , † 1903 in Berlin) was a German organ builder in Berlin.
Life
He learned organ building from his father Wilhelm Lang and later became an assistant and works manager at Lang & Dinse . In 1859, after the death of his father, he went into business for himself and founded an organ building workshop at Alexandrinenstrasse 109 in Berlin-Kreuzberg .
Albert Lang was considered a reliable and conscientious organ builder and business partner. He only built mechanical slider chest organs.
Work (selection)
About 50 new organs by Albert Lang are known in the Mark Brandenburg , mostly in village churches. Some have been preserved. Instruments that are no longer available are in italics .
