Albert Wirsching (born September 1, 1920 - August 21, 1997 ) was a German football player .

Career

Wirsching belonged to Eintracht Frankfurt , for which he was in the Gauliga Südwest from 1936 to 1941 , from 1941 to 1945 in the Gauliga Hessen-Nassau , in one of initially 16, later increased to 23 Gauligen at the time of National Socialism as the uniform highest division in German Reich had played point games. In the game year 1938 he won the Gaume Championship Southwest with Eintracht Frankfurt and consequently took part in the final round of the German Championship . In the championship, which was held in four groups, he played all six games in Group A , scored seven goals and finished second behind Hamburger SV , which made it to the semi-finals. In the club competition for the Tschammer Cup, which was newly created in 1935 , he played a total of seven games in four consecutive years from 1937, in which he scored two goals. He made his debut on August 29, 1937 in the 0-2 first-round defeat at SpVgg Sülz 07 . In the 1: 2 first-round defeat on August 28, 1938 against TSV 1860 Munich , he scored his only goal in this competition with the connection goal in the 56th minute.

After the end of the Second World War , he played for the club from 1945 to 1948 in the Oberliga Süd , in one of initially three, later expanded to five upper leagues as the highest German division.

For the 1948/49 season switched to league competitor Kickers Offenbach , he won the South German Championship at the end of the season. The following season he finished with the team in third place. For Kickers Offenbach, he played four finals for the German championship in 1948/49 and 1949/50 . The game for 3rd place on July 9, 1949 in the Koblenz Stadium Oberwerth was lost 2-1 after extra time against 1. His last club was FC Langenthal , with whom he was promoted to the National League B in his last season .
