Albert Zoer

Albert Zoer (born July 31, 1975 ) is a Dutch show jumper .

Zoer first took part in a horse show at the age of seven. Together with his father Arend Zoer, he runs a breeding and trading stable in Echten in the Netherlands (municipality of De Wolden ). At the height of his career, in January 2010, Albert Zoer was the head of the FEI 's world jumping rankings . In March 2019, he was still on rank 490 in the world rankings.

In the summer of 2008, two days after winning the Aachen Grand Prix , Zoer broke his leg while working with a young horse. Because of this injury, he could not take part in the 2008 Olympic Games, for which he was considered one of the favorites for the individual victory.

His older sister Jenny Zoer was also active as an international show jumper, she took part as a member of the Dutch team at the World Equestrian Games in Stockholm (1990) and The Hague (1994).
