Alec Ogletree (* 25. September 1991 in Newnan , Georgia ) is an American American football poker players in the National Football League (NFL). He played for the St. Louis / Los Angeles Rams and the New York Giants as a linebacker and is currently a free agent .
college
Ogletree played for the Georgia Bulldogs at the University of Georgia from 2010 to 2012 .
He played 30 games in the three years and started in 22. In total, he came to 197 tackles , of which he made 111 in his senior year at college and so went into the 2013 NFL Draft with good qualifications .
NFL
In the 2013 NFL Draft , Ogletree was selected in the 1st round in a total of 30th place by the St. Louis Rams .
St. Louis / Los Angeles Rams
The 2015 season end early Ogletree had on 27 October 2015, having previously been due to two games fibula had failed.
After the 2015 season he moved to Los Angeles with the Rams and before the 2016 season he was moved from the outside linebacker to the inside linebacker position by the coaching team , after this position at the Rams had previously been filled by James Laurinaitis , who did the Team in February 2016. Ogletree turned out to be a consistently good inside linebacker and showed a solid season performance in his new position in 2016 and won the team's Ed Block Courage Award for his courage and sporting spirit.
New York Giants
After the 2017 season , Ogletree was swapped for two draft picks (4th and 6th round in the 2018 draft) to the New York Giants . In return, the Giants also received the Rams' draft rights in the 7th round in the 2019 draft. For the Giants, he ran in 13 games in 2018 and 2019. In 2018 he set a new personal best with five interceptions . On February 26, 2020, Ogletree was sacked by the Giants.
