Alexander Bonsaksen (born January 24, 1987 in Oslo ) is a Norwegian ice hockey player who has been under contract with KooKoo from the Finnish Liiga since May 2018 .

Career

Alexander Bonsaksen began his career as an ice hockey player in his hometown in the youth department of Vålerenga IF , for whose professional team he was active in the GET league from 2005 to 2009 . During this period, the defender won the Norwegian championship three times with the capital club in 2006, 2007 and 2009 . The national player then received a contract with MODO Hockey from the Swedish Elitserien for the 2009/10 season , for which he played for two years, while in his second season he played parallel for IF Sundsvall Hockey in the HockeyAllsvenskan , the second Swedish division. From the 2011/12 season he was under contract with the second division club Rögle BK and with this he made it to the Elitserien in 2012. The next year, however, Bonsaksen and his team went straight down again. For the 2013/14 season he returned to Vålerenga IF, where he then extended his contract. In November 2014, however, he moved to Tappara in the Liiga . There he was runner-up with his team at the end of the season. In the next two years Bonsaksen was able to win the Finnish championship twice with Tappara . In April 2017 he signed a contract with the Iserlohn Roosters from the German Ice Hockey League .

International

For Norway , Bonsaksen took part in the junior division in the U18 Junior B World Championship 2005 , the U20 Junior World Championship 2006 and the U20 Junior B World Championship in 2007 . In the senior sector, he competed for Norway at the A-World Championships in 2009 , 2010 , 2011 , 2012 , 2013 , 2014 and 2015 as well as the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver and the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi .

Bonsaksen has been engaged to snowboarder Silje Norendal (* 1993) since July 2018 .
