Alexander Herzog (* 1934 in Berlin ; † 2009 ) was a German actor and voice actor .

Life

Herzog was a Berlin actor who could be heard in many roles, both large and small , particularly in the 1980s and 1990s. Occasionally he was seen in TV formats (e.g. Detective Office Roth , Der Hausgeist , Wolffs Revier ). However, he gained fame through his voice. He spoke Maurice in Beauty and the Beast (1991), Will Hare in Back to the Future (1985) and Norman Matlock in Ghostbusters (1984). He also dubbed the films Is Yes Crazy - This Tired Taxi Driver (1963), Hellraiser - The Gate to Hell (1987), My Devilish Neighbors (1989), JFK - Tatort Dallas (1991), New Jack City (1991) or in Master & Commander - Until the End of the World (2003). In addition, he has spoken countless different roles in radio plays such as Benjamin Blümchen , Bibi Blocksberg , Bibi and Tina and Jan Tenner .
