Alexander Porschke

Alexander Porschke (born January 22, 1954 in Hamburg ) is a Hamburg politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ). From 1997 to 2001 he was the Senator for the Environment in Hamburg and is the first chairman of NABU Hamburg.

Life

Porschke did his Abitur at the Bondenwald grammar school in Hamburg. He then studied control engineering at the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences in the electrical engineering department. In his diploma thesis he dealt with the thermal use of solar energy.

He then worked until 1993 as a graduate engineer at the Deutsche Bundespost and the environmental authority in Hamburg. From September 2003 to August 2004 he was chairman of the Stadtpark-Verein e. V.

After his work in the parliament or in the Senate , he opened the "Porschke Office: Environment - Development - Communication". Until July 2004, he carried out advisory, moderation and expert activities in Germany. From August 2004 to July 2007 the core of the work was in Peru and Ecuador. His wife accepted a position as a civil peace service coordinator. Since August 2007, Alexander Porschke has been working in Germany again.

Alexander Porschke has been the first chairman of NABU Hamburg since March 23, 2010 and formulated his position as follows: “As lawyers for nature conservation and environmental protection, we want to exert stronger influence. Our voice should become more audible and we want to increase our weight in political decisions ” .

Porschke was initially a member of the Bunte Liste - fight back . In 1980 he co-founded the Greens . From October 1993 to October 1997 he was a member of the citizenship of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg , took over the parliamentary management of the GAL parliamentary group and was a member of the parliamentary group executive committee. As a deputy , he was a member of the Environment Committee, the Constitutional Committee and the Economic Committee. In addition, he was the environmental policy spokesman and spokesman for international politics (including town twinning) for his parliamentary group until the end of 1994.

From October 1997 to October 2001 he was the Senator for the Environment in Hamburg. Then he was again, until October 2002, a member of the Hamburg Parliament. He resigned his mandate for professional reasons.

In his role as Senator for the Environment, he was also Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Hamburger Wasserwerke (HWW), Hamburger Stadtentwässerung (HSE), Stadtreinigung Hamburg (SRH) and Bäderland Hamburg (BLH). He was also a member of the supervisory board of Hamburgische Electricitäts-Werke (HEW).
