Alexander Pschera
Alexander Pschera (born April 27, 1964 in Heidelberg ) is a German author , publicist , translator and blogger . He is the managing director of the Munich online media agency Maisberger.
education
Pschera attended the Carl-Friedrich-Gauß-Gymnasium Hockenheim and studied German , philosophy and musicology with Ludwig Finscher at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg . His studies and doctorate were funded by the German National Academic Foundation. Eduard Mörike's dissertation is on ( The Age of Idyll and the Era of Art , 1992 with Peter Michelsen ).
activities
Pschera initially wrote works on contemporary music for daily newspapers, magazines and radio, including a one-year series for Deutschlandfunk ("New Music in Historical Recordings"). He then emerged as an author, editor and publicist on topics of media theory and philosophy as well as the phenomenology of the Internet. His essays have been published by Matthes & Seitz Berlin since 2008 . He also writes regularly for SWR and Deutschlandradio Kultur . Until 2014 he wrote for the monthly magazine Cicero .
In addition, Pschera published works on the Renouveau catholique and Ernst Jünger's work. He translated Léon Bloy and presented the first German monograph on this author, which he published in 2006 in the Antaios edition of the new right " Institute for State Policy " . Pschera regularly publishes articles on Catholic culture, literature and mysticism in Die Tagespost and Vatican Magazin . He is also the author of the magazine FUGE - Journal for Religion and Modernity .
Since 2016, Pschera has been a board member of the Ernst and Friedrich Georg Jünger Society and editor of the Jünger Debate , which will be published annually by Vittorio Klostermann from autumn 2017 .
He regularly moderates the digital salon he initiated for the Catholic Academy in Bavaria .
