Alexandra Emilianov (born September 19, 1999 ) is a Moldovan discus thrower and shot putter .

Athletic career

Alexandra Emilianov gained her first experience in competitions, international level, at the U18 World Championships 2015 in Cali , where she won the gold medal in the discus throw with 52.78 m. A year later she won gold medals in the shot put and discus throw at the U18 European Championships, which were held for the first time in Tbilisi . A little later she won the bronze medal in the discus throw at the U20 World Championships in Bydgoszcz, Poland . In 2017 Emilianov took part in the U20 European Championships in Grosseto , where he also won gold with 56.38 meters. In 2018 she took part in the discus throw again at the U20 World Championships in Tampere , where she won the gold medal with 57.89 m in front of the Finn Helena Leveelahti . Then she reached the finals at the European Championships in Berlin , where she finished eighth with 58.10 m. The following year she won the silver medal at the U23 European Championships in Gävle with a throw on 57.30 m and had to admit defeat to Croatian Marija Tolj . She also qualified for the first time for the World Championships in Doha , where she did not make it to the final with 52.05 m .

In 2019 Emilianov became the Moldovan champion in the discus throw.
