Alfred Homeyer

Alfred Homeyer (born July 3, 1888 in Strasbourg , Reichsland Alsace-Lorraine , † November 24, 1962 in Bad Wiessee ) was a German politician ( FDP ).

From 1906 Homeyer studied mathematics and natural sciences as well as law and political science . In 1913 he passed the scientific examination for teaching at secondary schools. Until 1919 he worked in higher education in Alsace-Lorraine. In 1920 Homeyer became senior teacher at the Sophien-Gymnasium in Berlin-Mitte . From 1927 to 1945 he was director of studies at the Luisenstädtisches Realgymnasium , most recently as senior director there.

After the Second World War , Homeyer worked in the Hauptschulamt Berlin. In the Berlin election in 1948 , he was elected to the district assembly in the Tempelhof district. In the subsequent election in 1950 he was elected to the Berlin House of Representatives. In the same year he was also headmaster of the 1st secondary school in the Neukölln district and then in the following year district councilor for public education in the Tempelhof district. From 1953 to 1955 he was district mayor of Berlin-Tempelhof.
