Alfred von Larisch (statesman)

Alfred Karl August von Larisch (born November 17, 1819 in Kümmritz ; † October 11, 1897 there ) was a State Minister of Anhalt .

Life

Alfred was a son of the Prussian major a. D. Georg Karl Heinrich von Larisch (1786–1858) and his wife Ida, born von Stammer (1798–1876) from the Görlsdorf house . His younger brother Karl (1824-1903) was a Prussian general of the cavalry .

Career

Larisch attended grammar school in Luckau and then studied law and camera science at the universities of Bonn and Berlin . In 1838 he became a member of the Corps Borussia Bonn . After graduating, he was initially a trainee lawyer and assessor in Potsdam . From 1848 to 1853 he was District Administrator of the district Zeitz . From 1853 to 1867 he was Minister of State in Sachsen-Altenburg . He pursued a reactionary constitutional and legislative policy. From 1868 to 1875 he was Minister of State in Anhalt . He was a member of the Federal Council . He retired in 1875 and has lived on the Kümmritz family estate ever since.

The University of Jena awarded Larisch the honorary doctorate of a Dr. jur. hc

family

Larisch had married Marie von Wolffersdorff (1821-1882) on July 8, 1850 in Auligk . The following children were born from the marriage:

  • Marie Margarete (* 1852) ⚭ May 6, 1897 her brother-in-law Friedrich von Trotha , former Prussian lieutenant colonel . D.
  • Marie Alexandra (* 1856) ⚭ June 21, 1884 Christian von Rohr, Prussian lieutenant colonel ret. D.
  • Ernestine Johanne Marie (* 1860) ⚭ September 24, 1887 her uncle Karl von Larisch, Prussian general of the cavalry
