Alfred von Tettau

Alfred Christoph Freiherr von Tettau (born January 26, 1810 in Berlin ; † April 26, 1893 there ) was the owner of the Fideikommiss and a member of the German Reichstag .

origin

His parents were the higher regional court president and general landscape director of Prussia Alexander Ernst von Tettau (* August 27, 1776 - April 1, 1831) and his wife the baron Auguste Karoline Franziska von Schleinitz (* June 17, 1784 - March 2, 1848). His brother Wilhelm Johann Albert (born June 20, 1804, † October 3, 1894) became an administrative lawyer and historian.

Life

Tettau was at the Marienwerder grammar school from 1820 to 1828 . In 1828 he joined the Guards Rifle Battalion and from 1829 to 1834 he was Second Lieutenant there and was then transferred to the first Guards Landwehr Regiment. In 1836 he took over the Tolks father's estate. He was a member of the district assembly, at times district deputy and member of the district committee as well as head of office. From 1855 to 1861 and 1863 he was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives and since 1866 a member of the Prussian mansion through presentation of the real estate of Natangen-Samland.

From 1877 to 1881 and from 1884 to 1893 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the Reichstag electoral district of Königsberg 5 (Heiligenbeil-Preußisch Eylau) and the German Conservative Party .

family

He married Elisabeth Emmeline Alexandrine Körner on November 9, 1836 (December 11, 1812 - September 28, 1884). The couple had several children:
