Athletic career

Aljona Mamina gained her first experience at international championships in 2008 at the Junior World Championships in Bydgoszcz , where she was eliminated in the 200-meter run with 24.07 s in the semi-finals and with the Russian 4 x 100 meter relay with 45.15 s knocked out in the preliminary round. The following year she won the silver medal over 200 meters at the Junior European Championships in Novi Sad in 23.72 s and in 2011 she won the U23 European Championships in Ostrava in 44.14 s with the Russian relay. In 2013 she won the Summer Universiade in Kazan at home in 3: 26.61 min with the 4 x 400 meter relay and won the silver medal over 400 meters in 51.17 seconds behind her compatriot Xenija Aksjonowa . At the World Indoor Championships in Sopot , she originally came fourth with the 4 x 400 meter relay, but was disqualified because of a doping offense of a fellow campaigner. In August she finished fourth at the European Championships in Zurich in 3: 25.02 minutes.

Since 2018 she has been eligible to start as an Authorized Neutral Athlete and qualified for the European Championships in Berlin , where she was eliminated in the first round over 400 meters with 52.72 seconds. The following year she took part in the World Championships in Doha for the first time , but also retired there with 52.15 s in the lead . Then she reached the military world games in Wuhan over 200 meters to the semifinals, in which she was disqualified. In addition, she won the silver medal behind the team from Poland with the Russian 4 x 400 meter relay in 3: 28.09 min.

In 2019 Mamina became Russian champion in the 4 x 400 meter relay.
