The Allanche is a river in France that runs in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region . It rises at the Buron de Paillassère Haut summit in the Cézallier mountains , in the municipality of Anzat-le-Luguet , initially changes its name several times ( Ruisseau de Chaubasse , Ruisseau de Courbière ), generally drains south through the Volcans d 'Regional Nature Park Auvergne and after 31 kilometers it flows into the Alagnon as a left tributary on the municipal boundary of Joursac and Neussargues-Moissac . On its way, the Allanche crosses the Puy-de-Dôme and Cantal departments .
